How we eat and how we treat the food from mother earth matters more if one seeks absolute health and sustenance of this human mechanism. \nWe are excited to announce Cedar Mountain Canteen Public House will be hosting an Indian Dinner fundraiser the second Friday of the month.\n*This is a zero-waste event. If you want to order your meal for take-out\, please bring your own containers. \nTraditionally Indian meals are designed with 6 tastes of the tongue\, made fresh from scratch before each meals\, and served in its order of consumption. The six tastes are 1. sweet (eg. fruits)\, 2. sour(lime)\, 3. salty(salt)\, 4. hot spicy(chilly)\, 5. bitter(curry leaf) and 6. astringent (yogurt). Every meal is designed to include a certain proportions of solid and liquid foods for easy digestion without constipation\, offering a balanced diet of protein\, vitamins\, minerals\, probiotic and carbohydrates. DESCRIPTION:Jackson Grimm marries folk pop melodies with the lonesome sound of traditional Appalachian music. Grimm lives in Asheville\, North Carolina\, and can be found playing solo or around Western North Carolina with bluegrass band\, The Bull Moose Party. The band is also the band on Grimm’s latest album by the same name\, “The Bull Moose Party.”\n\nGrimm also plays extensively as a sideman for his father\, singer-songwriter Tim Grimm. Touring with Tim has taken him to over 20 states in the US and 7 countries in Europe (Netherlands\, Germany\, Italy\, Ireland\, Scotland\, Wales\, & England). He has appeared on\, written songs on\, and co-produced the last two Tim Grimm albums. Jackson has also shared the stage and played with singer-songwriters Ben Bedford\, Krista Detor\, and Jennie DeVoe.\n\n\nPotluck \nWe will be hosting a potluck dinner this evening. SUMMARY:Hannah Kaminer & her band
DESCRIPTION:Hannah Kaminer is a folk/Americana artist based in Asheville\, NC. Raised in small towns in western North Carolina\, she fuses echoes of Appalachian traditions with wistful\, Americana-style songwriting. Kaminer’s songs have been recognized in the finals of the Chris Austin Songwriting Contest (MerleFest)\, with an NC Regional Artist Project Grant\, and by the Brown Bag Songwriting Competition. Kaminer has released two studio albums\, Acre by Acre (2015) and Heavy Magnolias (2018). Kaminer co-produced Heavy Magnolias with award-winning engineer Julian Dreyer. In 2020\, she pivoted to produce Music for Quarantine\, connecting musicians to virtual gigs performed for loved ones in isolation. As of summer 2023\, Kaminer is working to release a new album with her band (Hannah & The Wistfuls).
