Join us for a celebration of Appalachian Culture with performances from JAM Kids, the JAM Staff Band, and the Cedar Mountain All Stars.

We will also be celebrating bringing on Tod Schmidt as a new worker-owner at the Canteen, and the release of our own Cider collaboration with Botanist and Barrel, called Appalachian Culture!  We are also announcing our new name:  The Cedar Mountain Canteen Public House and Appalachian Cultural Center!

The day will start with a dance board building workshop, where kids can help build their own dance board for flatfooting or clogging. JAM Kids will take the stage next, followed by the JAM Staff Band. The JAM Staff Band is comprised of Bruce Threlkeld on banjo, Tim Fisher on Fiddle, Haden Rhea on Fiddle, Richard Hardy on upright bass, Owen Grooms on Mandolin, and special guest Rick Taylor on Guitar.

Back due to popular demand, we will close out the evening with a performance from the Cedar Mountain All Stars. This group is comprised of all of our jam leaders at the Canteen, and what a group it is! The All Stars are: Mark Wingate on Fiddle, Bruce Threlkeld on Guitar and Banjo, Karen Batten on Banjo and Guitar, Scott Ritter on Guitar and Mandolin, Owen Grooms on Mandolin and Banjo, and Richard Hardy on the Upright Bass.
