A Zero Waste/Upcycled Art Class!
Join Arianna in a zero waste/upcycled art class! Inspired and reminded by the Cedar Mountain Canteen, Arianna started to notice the amount of waste generated in her household. The amount of waste that came from her art supplies alone, sparked an inspiration. Arianna has always cared about the planet and doing her part, but until recently she didn’t realize how much beauty there was in our trash. Yeah that’s right, OUR TRASH IS BEAUTIFUL! She has recently began working on an art showcase that will feature only upcycled and trash art.
“Everything has a purpose” she states as a motto to her artistic view and reason for this class. She stated, “When you break it down, how much of our recyclable’s, are actually recycled? According to National Geographic, only 32% of our trash gets recycled. So why not make it as close 100% as I can? Other artist in the world have already been doing this, I too can help reduce our footprint by creating art with our trash and sharing that beauty with others!”.
Arianna wants to encourage that you and your house hold collect your own trash and bring it to the class. She will have materials to use, but the purpose is more impactful if we all contribute! Her art class will only be donation based, as this is an important cause to her. “If we all bring our own materials to work with, my time is well spent, regardless of money made, I just want to help the planet and inspire creativity!”
