On October 26th, Sarah Dearbaugh of Studio 276 led the painting of a community memorial mural at the Canteen. We are creating a space for the community to share memories of their loved ones, share the grief they experience in general. The space is in the front of the building and will include a flower garden and a little library where members of the community can leave a thought in a book in the library, plant a flower, leave a stone…
The window in the area will house the community memorial created Thursday. The mural is a flower garden that will always be in bloom. During growing season flowers will be planted to join the painting.
The continued creation of this space will involve additional community events and all are welcome to join.
We are grateful to our neighbors for creating a space such as this.
