We were honored with a visit from Just Economics WNC on Friday. We applied to be certified as a living wage employer and we met the criteria and received our certification.
Usually, the team from Just Economics brings a decal so we can put it on our door to show our commitment to paying a living wage. We said that in the spirit of zero-waste we would prefer not to receive a plastic sticker with a back that gets disposed of.
Sam instead used one of our chalkboards and drew the logo! How amazing is that! He also ensured all notifications were electronic and nothing disposable was created throughout the process.
