Growing up in Brevard, Madeline Dierauf listened to and learned a diverse range of folk music and was immersed in the cultural traditions of Appalachia. She is passionate about the power of art and music for self expression, understanding, and community building, and creatively engages with many different traditional genres in her fiddling. In 2020, she released her debut EP, Walk On By, with producer Mike Ashworth, which features original and traditional songs, and in 2021 began playing with regionally based folk trio The Wilder Flower, whose debut album will release summer 2024. Madeline has played on stages like those at Merlefest, Mountain Song Festival, and Earl Scruggs Festival, and is a two-time South Carolina state fiddling champion.
Owen and Madeline will cover a few of the many great songs that John Hartford wrote and sang, along with barnburner breakdown fiddle tunes and a lot more!
