Join Arianna in creating a community dream catcher! We wanted to offer space for the community to add to our home. What better way then to create a large dream catcher out of mostly upcycled materials! Dream catchers are traditionally believed to protect the home in which they hang, only allowing positive energy/spirits and catching the negative energy/spirits, day and night. Originally they are hung over the entrances of a home to emphasize which energy can enter. Some Native American tribes also believe that when we dream we open our spirit to the energy around us and the dream catchers are believed to protect them during the dreaming state. This is why they are now mostly marketed as just keeping bad dreams away, but they are so much more than just that. We want to add to the positive energy and sacred meaning in our public home, and hope you join us.
This event will be donation based and Arianna ask that you contribute your positive energy more than anything.
Donations can be financial to contribute for the time Arianna is there or the following materials to add to the dream catcher:
- Plastic bottles (will be cut down into firm string)
- Beads (preferably upcycled)
