Join us as we dedicate our listening room to our beloved friend and sound engineer, Daniel Gardner. We are naming our listening room after Daniel because he was so very passionate and devoted to our music at the Canteen, and constantly strove to make improvements to the space and our weekly events. Daniel helped us kickstart our livestream service which broadcasts each of our shows and other events on our website. He helped us rebuild after Helene. Most of all, Daniel was a dear friend, bright light, helping hand, and he had a wonderful smile and great sense of humor that lifted everyone’s spirits. His energy and passion lives on in our listening room, as we continue to strive to make the space even better for musicians and listeners alike.

We will begin the evening in community with a potluck at 5:30. Please bring a dish and place setting if you can, but we are always happy to provide food, bowls, plates and silverware.

To break in the new name and celebrate Daniel we need some music! What better way to do it than with some of Daniel’s close friends and favorite local musicians.

Cody Hale and Jonlyn will kick off the night, Jenn and Owen will play a short set, and all four musicians will end the night together.

We look forward to being in community together as we remember Daniel and his wonderful spirit.
