Madeline Dierauf and Lindsay Emmons—fresh off a summer of touring together with The Wilder Flower—are excited to bring original songs and (too) many instruments to The Canteen. Brevard native Madeline Dierauf is a blue-ribbon fiddler and creative songwriter, as well as a graduate student of the English and Appalachian ballad traditions. Lindsay Emmons, of Columbia, SC, is an acclaimed bassist, guitarist, singer, and songwriter, touring with bands such as Admiral Radio and The Resonant Rogues. At their debut duo show, Madeline and Lindsay will sing in harmony, tell a few stories, fiddle too fast, and celebrate the last day of August with the wonderful Canteen community. We will also be hosting a community potluck dinner this evening and every Monday from 6–8 pm. Please bring a dish to share and your own non-disposable place setting. If you cannot bring food or a place setting, for any reason, we are happy to feed you and provide dishes for you to use. We look forward to sharing a meal together!
