Months ago when we started the process of adding an additional employee-owner and changing our name, we wanted to celebrate by highlighting a traditional Appalachian beverage. Cider has been around these parts for a very long time. You can catch old time tunes talking about this delicious beverage. What better way to celebrate our Appalachian culture than with a cider called Appalachian Culture, after our new name. And the label features our staff musicians, which we call The Canteen All Stars. Owen Grooms, Mark Wingate, Bruce Threlkeld, Karen Batten and Scott Ritter keep our music program going and we are so grateful for them. The cider is available now and we will be sharing some samples during the Junior Appalachian Fundraiser May 23rd from 2 – 4 pm. Come on by!
