Jackson Grimm marries folk pop melodies with the lonesome sound of traditional Appalachian music. In a region with a strong music culture, it is no surprise that Grimm’s songwriting is representative of his musical birthplace: Asheville, NC. A modern string band leader, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Grimm is a talent on the rise.
Sarah Gwendolyn has been performing, recording and collaborating for the past decade in the WNC region, a well-known haven for songwriters and multi-instrumentalists alike. Her noisemaking usually involves a fiddle or guitar, but singing is guaranteed to make her happy. Sarah has claimed awards such as The South Carolina State Fiddling Championship and a blue ribbon at Surry Old Time Fiddlers Convention, toured with roots rock and Americana groups around the country, and travelled overseas with the Bailey Mountain Cloggers. She now resides in Waynesville, NC where she is an instructor for the Haywood county JAM program and is pursuing her masters degree in social work.
