PETAH IAH & THE MIND RENEWERS is a five-piece Latin reggae band based in the mountains of North Carolina. They play original roots reggae tunes blended with Latin sounds from South and Central America. The band is made up of musicians from diverse cultural backgrounds who share a common mission: renewing minds, uplifting spirits, and shaking souls through their music and message. Founded in 2022, the collective consists of Mario “Petah” Moraga from Chile on lead vocals, and keys; Adin “Daddy” Argueta from El Salvador on guitar and background vocals; Ezequiel Aloise “El Pibe” from Argentina on drums; Raul “Beto” Quintanilla from Peru on bass and background vocals; plus their most recent addition, a lovely familiar face behind the bar; Arianna Ruiz on flute and sax from Ohio. Their original music includes Petah’s debut solo album, De Vuelta Al Barro (released in 2022), three singles released between 2020 and 2022, and their latest collective project, the live EP Live From The Mountains, released in November 2024. Their music conveys a positive and conscious message that revolves around grace, peace, love, unity and spirituality.
