Join us for our second Canteen Mocktail Party, and in celebration of Black History Month, featuring products from Black-owned breweries! This event will include a community potluck with music by the Plaid Mountain Boys (pub session style) and drinks and products from Briar Rose Organics and many other products from national mocktail providers. This is a great way to sample mocktails and enjoy an evening with the community.
This event is also a fundraiser for our Community Supported Arts Program, which helps to increase local artists’ quality of life, and bring in touring artists to the Canteen that we otherwise would not be able to host.
Tim Gardner (fiddle), Bennett Sullivan (guitar), and Owen Grooms (banjo) will provide the music, but in the style of an Irish pub session, mountain music style. The musicians will sit in a circle and play time honored tunes from various traditions. This will be less of a performance, so it will be less of a listening event and more of a social event than the Canteen usually provides. There will be chairs close to the musicians if you would like to just sit and listen, and room to sit at the bar if you would like to socialize.
The potluck begins at 5:30. Music goes from 6:00 – 7:30.
Bring your favorite cocktail glass, potluck dish, place setting, dress as fancy as you want, and join us for a great evening!
