4:30-5:30    Cody Hale and Jonlyn Linville

Cody Hale is a singer/songwriter from Penrose, North Carolina. He began writing music in 2010 after a career ending injury kept him off the college basketball court. He currently travels and performs with his wife, Jonlyn Linville, who plays fiddle and sings. The duo has crafted their own sound through years of performing live music. You will hear popular, classic songs mixed in with clever and capturing original tunes if you attend one of their shows. Cody’s debut album, 100 Miles to Nashville, is set to release this Summer and is compromised of 18 original songs written by Cody himself.”

5:45-6:45    The Woven:  Jessie, Jonlyn and Jenn

Jenn Rhea Linville, Jonlyn Linville Siniard and Jessie Leigh have been playing music together for almost 20 years. They met standing around a grand piano as teenagers and the rest is history! With influences from folk, country, and singer-songwriters like Eva Cassidy and Gillian Welch, together they offer original music with three part harmonies to make you smile and maybe heal your heart a little too.

7:00-8:00   Chrysalis:  Jonlyn, Jenn, and JT with guest Owen Grooms

Chrysalis is an acoustic string trio of sisters and a brother out of Brevard, NC; Jenn on guitar, Jonlyn on fiddle, and Jay on upright bass.
We grew up making music as a family- starting with humming and dancing while our parents played and sang. As we grew older we each found our individual voices and instruments. We were never forced or pushed to play by our parents; it just came naturally, and the love of music lives on in our hearts! Although we call ourselves a trio, we hear the harmonies of our parents and two older sisters in our hearts and minds every time the three of us play!
Why “Chrysalis”?
As kids we grew up running barefoot through the woods, playing in cold creeks and working in the garden we hold the natural world close to our hearts! We named our group Chrysalis as a way to begin conversations about the importance of planting milkweeds and nectar flowers for monarch butterflies. If you would like to learn more about how to help the Monarch butterflies (and all pollinators) then please visit www.monarchmentors.org
