What happens to all the food visitors don’t eat when they stock their rental for their stay? I hadn’t thought about it until a kind soul brought in a cooler of unopened food from her visit and asked if we wanted it. Yes! we said. We quickly distributed it and used some of it for a potluck dinner.
How much food is going into the landfill from our community? How many of our neighbors can use the food?
If you own a rental or have contact with visitors feel free to let them know we are happy to take their unopened food. We will find it a home.
