After a year of working with a consulting firm and their attorney, we signed the paperwork at our New Year’s Eve celebration and sold the Canteen to our employees and we became an employee-owned cooperative. Owen Grooms joined John and I as employee-owners and after the paperwork was signed, we kicked off a celebration and welcomed Owen as an owner of the Canteen. We are deeply grateful to have him as an owner of the Canteen.
I was in tears because of the depth of gratitude I felt for those who came to hear the news and support the transition in ownership. You are amazing. Your support and hugs were beyond words. The potluck feast you provided for the celebration was phenomenal and the transition was just amazingly heartwarming.
We love you all and are grateful beyond words.
